I've been reading Peter Thiel's Zero to One book, and read about his Christianity along with his opposition to charity, which seems like a paradox. I'm curious if he would have objected to funding leprosy elimination, as it's so central to Jesus's story.

peter thiel is an ultra conservative "new catholic" convert. its a movement using Christian language to push fascism and conspiracy theories. the main reason thiel started palantir was to keep america on top, because he believes its the only thing that can stop the antichrist in the form of a socialist world government. no actual Christian would identify a country as the force keeping away the apocalypse.
poverty and disease dont matter to him. after all its the end of the world against "some" suffering. its kinda like a more extreme religious version of altmanite effective altruism. here its all about america as a state (he would probably sacrifice a million american people to save it) which is ironic when one of the main attacks on socialism from this crowd is it worships the state instead of God.
so yeah, he would definitely take away leprosy funding to invest in weapons.

Nice. It is a black mark upon humanity that it even still exists at all since it can be treated with antibiotics.
